Hawthorn Preschool
Hawthorn Preschool offers children aged 3 to 4 years a loving, nurturing environment full of attention and activity. In our carefully designed preschool program your child will feel cared for while gaining a head start on their education.

| Circle Time |
Children take part in discussions on the theme for the week, stories, and the calendar |
| Musical Activities |
Children explore the sounds of a variety of instruments, learn a variety of songs, and build skills in rhythm and dance |
| Gym Time |
Gym is held each day. Children build gross motor skills and make use of a variety of gym equipment |
| Fine Motor Skills |
Children build their fine motor skills by participating in a variety of activities, making use of blocks, zippers, lacing and puzzles |
| Cognitive Skills |
Children build their cognitive skills through exercises in classification, matching and association, spatial relationships, alphabet introduction, learning sounds, and numbers |
| Sensory Skills |
Using a variety of media, children learn about their senses by feeling, touching and smelling |
| Creative Skills |
Children build an appreciation for creative expression by taking part in craft activities using paper and 3D materials

| Story Time |
At the end of each day, children take part in story time where they enjoy a story read by the teacher, or explore books |
| Snack Time |
Snack time is held each day. During snack time manners and proper etiquette are taught |
| Outside Play |
Children take part in outside activities each day, weather permitting |
