Capital Loan
To support the capital needs of the school, each family is required to loan $5,000 at no interest to the school. The loan is repayable in full without interest within 90 days of the date on which all students from the family have been graduated from or left the school. Families of foreign students, pre-school students and boys in the Kindergarten classes are exempt from the Capital Loan.
Capital Loan Payments
The amount of $5,000 is due on July 1, 2008 for new families. An alternate payment schedule of three $1,800 installments can be paid over three years.
Additional Expenses (Estimates)
Students incur the following additional expenses:
- Conferences (e.g. Latin)
- Uniform
- Textbooks
Activity Fee
The activity fee covers the cost of field trips, camps and enhancement of the athletic and academic program for the school year 2008-2009.
- Grades JK–SK: $250
- Grades 1–7: $300
- Grades 8–12: $450
Fundraising
Fundraising activities are necessary to cover the school’s operating costs. All families are expected to participate in fundraising activities. Please consider a gift to the Hawthorn School for Girls Foundation.
Bursaries
Limited bursaries are available based on financial need. A separate application is required.
